Barbara - RDH I have been a practicing Dental Hygienist for over 35 years. I graduated from Community College in Pensacola, Florida where r met my husband and raised my six children. My length of service in dental hygiene is a testimony of how much I love what I do. I firmly believe that your smile is the gateway to your entire personality. A healthy mouth allows you to live your life and pursue your goals with confidence. You can be sure when you are in my chair that you are getting tile highest quality care that I have developed from my many years of practice. This is also the attitude of our office and of my boss, Dr. James Outlaw.
Cleaning teeth is a small part of what l do. l wm spe•nd "!me w·1th my patients making sure they understand what dentistry has to offer them to and educate them on which treatment options are available. I believe that a healthy mouth, that will last your lifetime, comes from my patient's understanding that dental health is an ongoing process, not a one-time cleaning. Dental disease is like any other disease in that it can interrupt living a happy and productive life. Therefore I encourage my patients to act early and proactively with the dentist and hygienist to develop a treatment plan that addresses the issue early.
The aspect of my work I enjoy the most is reaming all about my patients. I enjoy the conversations during their appointment and I especially enjoy hearing about families and keeping up with events in their lives. It is due to these special relationships that my attitude is to always do what's best for my patients and that includes seeing them often and being a major part of their dental health ......... my job as their hygienist and friend is to keep those smiles as bright and beautiful as I can.
I am blessed to have a wonderful job, a great boss, awesome co-workers, and (with the exception of starting at 7am) I love coming to work. Once I open the door and say good moming, I'm energized. So let's keep our relationship going strong and if you know friends who are looking for quality dental work and a beautiful smile please let them know about Or. Outlaw and his practice.
